Slime After Slime Workshop with JRL Slime
Join Queerlective and @jrlslime for a one of kind slime making workshop on June 26th, from 6-8pm at CoLab in Manchester.
This workshop will teach YOU how to turn your artistic vision into a slime.
Many people think slime is just some gross kids toys, but they are wrong.
Slime is many things, it’s a tool that brings stress and anxiety relief to people of all ages, a tool that can be used for hand exercises to help people build dexterity, a fun thing to make while hanging out with your friends, and to me, and many other people, an art form.
In this workshop, we will be using a variety different of glues, colorings, fragrances, beads, and other add-in’s to help you create a slime that either conveys a concept, or is just something fun!
Slime is not at all about being perfect, it’s about creating, getting in touch with your senses, and having fun!
Jrl Slime is a shop and art project run by Julius Lorentz, a 16 year old New Hampshire based artist who has been doing slime since he was 10. He started his slime shop in 2019 under a different title “Gelato Slimes 19”, and later changed it to “Jrl Slime” in July of 2022. He sells his handmade slimes locally at various craft fairs and pride events and also sells nationwide on his Etsy shop “JrlSlime”. Recently, in January of this year he started creating slime ASMR videos on his YouTube channel that delve into darker and more thought-provoking themes, such as the impacts of capitalism, existential worries, and the ever fleeting hope for love.
