About Haley Searcy Art

Haley Searcy (they/she) is an artist based in Dover, New Hampshire, originally from North Carolina. They work with textiles by mending, sewing, and other techniques, and use upcycled and secondhand materials whenever possible. Their art lives in the space between useful and expressive: patched-up jackets, hand-stitched wall hangings, and other soft things made with care.

They also make weird and funny stickers, pins, and prints with themes of queerness, mental health, and emotional honesty. Combining humor, weirdness, and charm, each design is a tiny moment of connection or catharsis. Characters include sharks, possums, rats, and goblins.

Since moving to New Hampshire after graduating college in 2020, they’ve been building community through free mending clubs, teaching art workshops for teens, and helping out with local gallery shows. Their work is grounded in care, curiosity, and a love of things that are a little bit scrappy but still full of life.
