Call for Submissions: State of Queer, NH Resource Book
We’re inviting writers and artists to contribute to the State of Queer, NH Resource Book, a community-powered guide highlighting resources, stories, and creativity from queer and BIPOC voices across New Hampshire.
We’re looking for:
- Writings: poetry, essays, or short reflections (roughly 500 words or less)
- Art & Photography: visual pieces that explore queerness at the intersections of life in New Hampshire
Format & Space
- Most artwork will be displayed at half-page size (book pages are 5.5 x 8.5 inches)
- A limited number of double-page spreads and full-page features may be available, depending on space after all resources are included
Themes
We encourage you to interpret “Queerness at the Intersections of life in New Hampshire” in your own way. Some potential features we’d love to include are:
- Queerness and rural life
- Queerness and disability
- Queerness and BIPOC identity
- Know Your Rights reflections or creative takes
You’re also welcome to explore other intersections, identities, and lived experiences that feel important to you.
Compensation
Artists and writers whose work is included will receive 2 copies of the State of Queer, NH Resource Book mailed to them.
