Community Solidarity Builders

Community Solidarity Builders are people helping shape a stronger future for New Hampshire through care, creativity, relationship-building, participation, and collective action.

Rooted in Community

CSBs learn about the people, histories, needs, and strengths that shape the places they live.

Built on Solidarity

CSBs recognize that our struggles and futures are interconnected and that communities thrive when people show up for one another.

Focused on the Future

CSBs actively help build the world they want through art, advocacy, organizing, care, storytelling, and collaboration.

The NH Ecosystem for Change Network

The NH Ecosystem for Change Network is an emerging effort to strengthen the relationships, shared language, infrastructure, and collective capacity needed to help communities across New Hampshire not only survive, but thrive.

New Hampshire has so much to offer and so much potential. Across the state, people are already creating art, organizing gatherings, supporting neighbors, running businesses, advocating for change, and building community in ways both large and small.

But too often, this work happens in isolation.

Communities, organizations, movements, and individuals are disconnected from one another even when they care about many of the same things.

The NH Ecosystem for Change Network exists to help build the connective tissue between these people, projects, communities, and movements.

Through this work, we aim to develop stronger community infrastructure and a shared language that can help drive the long-term change our communities need to move forward together.

We have spent too long simply trying to survive.

It is time for us to thrive.

In order for us to do that, we need to bridge communities and movements and build toward our shared liberation.

Queerlective developed State of Queer NH as the first step in building this ecosystem. That project helped answer an important question:

“Who and what is already out there?”

Now that we have begun identifying organizations, businesses, artists, resources, and community members across the state, the next step is strengthening the relationships between them.

We are beginning this work in two primary ways:

Community Solidarity Builders

Supporting people in developing the skills, relationships, confidence, and practices needed to actively contribute to the future of their communities through care, creativity, organizing, advocacy, connection, and collective action.

Community Hubs

Establishing locally rooted spaces, gatherings, and partnerships connected through the broader NH Ecosystem for Change Network, allowing communities to share resources, support one another, and grow collective power together.

This year, we are looking for people who are interested in actively building for our future instead of only reacting to the events happening around us.

Belonging comes first. That is where we are now.

Now we begin to build.

The NH Ecosystem for Change Network includes community members, artists, organizers, businesses, nonprofits, educators, caregivers, mutual aid networks, and local leaders.

We all have a part to play.

This is a work in progress, and we want people to help shape it alongside us.

What is a Community Solidarity Builder?

A Community Solidarity Builder, or CSB, is someone who actively contributes to the well-being, resilience, and future of their community through care, participation, creativity, relationship-building, and collective action.

There is no single way to be a CSB. Some people organize events. Some create art. Some support mutual aid efforts. Some help educate neighbors. Some advocate for policy change. Some make space for rest, celebration, and belonging.

  • Know their community They listen, stay curious, and understand local needs, stories, and resources.
  • Show up They participate in moments of action, care, celebration, grief, and collective support.
  • Build the future They contribute to the world they want through creativity, organizing, advocacy, and collaboration.
  • Practice courage and care They engage honestly, navigate difficult conversations thoughtfully, and lead with accountability.
  • Honor lived experience They recognize that systems affect people differently based on identity, access, power, and circumstance.
  • Sustain joy and rest They understand that long-term change requires connection, celebration, care, and sustainability.
