Queerlective is currently recruiting new board members to support our growing organization. We're seeking people who are collaborative, values-driven, and excited to shape a more just and creative future through the arts.

Who We Are 

Queerlective uplifts our shared humanity through queer joy, art, and community connection. We are based in New Hampshire and center our work in the belief that queerness is a radical reclamation of power. Through art and mutual support, we are helping build a resilient and interconnected social change ecosystem across the state and throughout New England.

Our Mission 

We celebrate queer expression, build community resilience, and empower marginalized communities to create systemic change. We are experimenting with new decision-making structures that challenge the white supremacist norms common in nonprofit culture. We learn as we go, we embrace failure, and we center authenticity and growth.

What We're Looking For 

We are currently seeking board members with skills in:

• Volunteer Management

• Bookkeeping

Ideal Board Members Are:

• Collaborative and flexible

• Deeply believe in the power of art in community and social change

• Open to experimentation and learning

• Excited to help shape a still-growing, community-rooted organization

You do not need to be an artist, but you must value and support artistic expression.

Programs You Might Support

• CoLab: our shared community and artist support space

• Website and online artist presence

• Community-led programming at CoLab

• Participating in educational workshops like Undoing Racism

• Community communication tools like Discord

• Partnerships (e.g., with Totally Tea for our exhibition space)

• Mapping and strategizing around the social change ecosystem

What You’ll Get 

Being a board member at Queerlective is a two-way relationship. You’ll gain experience, expand your network, grow your leadership skills, and have a direct influence on our programming and direction.
