Undoing Racism, Deepening Our Practice

Undoing Racism, Deepening Our Practice

Queerlective is committed to ongoing education and reflection as part of our work to build a more just and liberated world. This month, with support from a Haymarket People’s Fund scholarship, we supported a cohort of community members in attending the Undoing Racism®/Community Organizing Workshop hosted by the NH Black Women Health Project at YWCA NH.

Our cohort included board member Jason D., and community members Nia R., Naji R., Angelica T., and Pasha R. (board member at 603 Equality). Together, they participated in a powerful process led by The People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, focused on understanding how racism operates in systems, institutions, and organizing spaces and how to undo it.

The group will be meeting again soon to reflect on what they learned and explore how Queerlective can strengthen our internal practices to be more accountable, equitable, and community-led.

This is part of our long-term commitment to anti-racist organizing. Not just in the world around us, but within ourselves and our work.

Stay tuned for more as this learning continues.
