Overview

The Storytelling for Social Change project is an initiative by Queerlective that aims to address social determinants of health through engaging narratives and artistic expression. By focusing on the experiences of marginalized communities, this project seeks to foster understanding, empathy, and advocacy for social equity.

Our Mission

At Queerlective, we believe in the power of storytelling as a tool for social change. Through narrative-based games and graphic narratives, we aim to empower queer, BIPOC, and other marginalized voices, ensuring their stories are heard and understood.

Key Components of this project

1. Narrative-Based Game

An interactive game that explores the impact of social determinants of health through the experiences of diverse community members. This game will serve as both an educational tool and a means of storytelling.
Graphic Narratives Workshops

Facilitated workshops where participants create zines and other graphic narratives that reflect their personal experiences and perspectives. These workshops will promote creativity and community engagement.

2. Community Conference

A culminating event that showcases the developed game and graphic narratives, featuring panel discussions and interactive sessions to discuss the impact of storytelling on social change planned April 12th 2025.
